is SA's quarterly
corporate finance journal.
|
|
Introducing the new
Online Research Tool you cannot afford to be without.
|
 |
| |
 |
Every M & A deal or corporate finance transaction
entered into by any SA listed company is recorded. Details include the date,
asset, value and various tombstone parties supplying transactional services.
In 2003,
also started recording an increasing number of unlisted company deals.
Administrative matters such as changes in share capital, or profit
warnings are also recorded along with details of current listings, delistings,
and company suspensions.
|
|
Each quarter the Tombstone parties are ranked by
total value and total number of transactions advised on.
Rankings are done in the following categories :
-
Investment Advisers
-
Sponsors
-
Legal Advisers
-
Reporting Accountants
The highlight of each year are the ANNUAL Results,
which are released in early March each year at the Annual Gala Awards Dinner.

Launched in early 2007, DealMakers Online is a
comprehensive research tool that encompasses all the data available in the
DealMakers Magazine since 2000 plus loads more extra information such as
share prices and P/E's at the time of announcement.
The system is entirely web-based and covers the following
transactions :
-
M&A activity undertaken by SA listed companies and their major
subsidiaries
-
M&A activity by unlisted SA companies
-
General Corporate Finance includes transactions such as share issues
(including IPO's), share repurchases, unbundling's, listings and refinancing
(incl. bonds and securitisations by SA listed companies)
-
Company Affairs provides all the information on JSE listings,
delistings and suspensions. Changes in share capital, name changes and audit
opinions are also included, with a new set of data for DealMakers, namely
Directors Dealings.
All results are displayed in Microsoft Excel and can be viewed
onscreen or downloaded to your computer. This allows the user to define the
results in any way required. Value fields and date fields are sortable within
Excel.
The database covers transactions since 2000 and is currently being
uploaded monthly. As the system is web-based it can be accessed from anywhere
or anytime as long as you an internet connection.
